Description

Presented is a large sterling silver serving spoon made by Samuel Kirk & Son during the early to mid 20th century. This piece is in the Repousse pattern. The front of the handle is finely hand chased with detailed flowers and leaves over a stippled background. The bowl is chased with fruits, flowers and leaves. The back of the handle has an old, original monogram of the initials MMB. The back is marked with the S. Kirk & Son sterling silver hallmark used between the 1930s and the 1960s. This piece is in great overall condition, especially considering age. There is very minor surface wear, but the designs are crisp and there are no damages or repairs. Length: 9 1/8 inches.
