Presented is a great set of 10 sterling silver fruit, dessert, or oval soup spoons. These spoons date to around the turn of the century, and are done in a pattern very similar to Dominick & Haff's Labours of Cupid. The handles are decorated with an openwork design of a cupid with a basket of fruit on his head, with various foliate and scroll designs surrounding. The spoons have a rich gold wash, suitable for use with acidic or corrosive foods. The spoons are a good size for use as place spoons, dessert spoons, or however else you like. This set is in great condition. The details of the pattern are nice and crisp. The gilding is pristine. There are no bends, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each spoon is stamped sterling and the retail mark for Brand-Chatillon Co on the stem. Each spoon is about 6 5/8 inches long.
