Description

Presented is a fabulous set of 12 sterling silver chocolate spoons by Whiting. These spoons are done in the classic Heraldic pattern, which began production in 1880. The handles have lovely foliate designs, terminating in a knight's helmet at the top. Each spoon has a monogram of 'ALA' in flowing script. The bowls of the spoons have a gold wash. Spoons in this size are quite rare for this pattern, and this is a great opportunity to add to your collection. This set of spoons is in great overall condition. The designs on the handles are quite crisp. The gold wash to the bowls has some wear. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. Each spoon is stamped on the stem with the maker's mark for Whiting as well as sterling and a retail mark for Bailey, Banks & Biddle. Each spoon is about 4 inches long. The total weight is 138 grams or 4.9 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
