Description
Presented is a fabulous set of 12 American sterling silver dessert spoons. These spoons date to the late 1800s or early 1900s, and were retailed by J. E. Caldwell. The spoons feature a beautifully hand engraved bright cut design on the handles which is very eye-catching and appealing. Each spoon has a monogram of MKC on the front of the handle. This set is in great overall condition. The details of the bright cut designs are nice and crisp. The gold wash of the bowls of the spoons is variously worn, some of the spoons have most of their gold wash and some have only traces left. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no cracks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. The spoons are stamped with the J. E. Caldwell retail mark as well as 925 for sterling purity silver. Each spoon is about 5 3/4 inches long. The total weight for the set is 228 grams or 8.0 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
