Presented is a lovely Gorham sterling silver gravy or dressing serving spoon. This piece is made in the classic Colonial pattern, which began production in 1885. This is an attractive pattern with an oval twist design on the shaft of the handle and a shell design inside the bowl. The spoon has a knob on the back of the stem to keep the spoon from sliding into a roasting pan or serving dish, great for serving gravy or stuffing, but given the spoon's large size and long handle it can be used for a wide variety of other serving purposes as well. The end of the handle has a monogram of MH in elegant script. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no breaks, no dents, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped with the Gorham maker's mark as well as sterling. The server is about 12 5/8 inches long.
