Description
Presented is an antique, English sterling silver serving spoon made by Richard Rutland of London in 1821. This early 19th century, Georgian piece is done in a classic form with a rounded handle. The spoon has never been monogrammed. The back is marked with the lion passant for sterling silver, the leopard's head symbol for the city of London, a duty mark of the king's head, the date letter f for the year 1821 and a maker's mark for Richard Rutland.
