Description

Presented for sale are 4 sterling silver floral salt spoons by the Gorham Manufacturing Co. The spoons have a beautiful Victorian floral design. They have a scroll shape handle embellished with a floral motif that transitions into a twisted shaft. There is a pretty PD monogram hand engraved in a fancy script on the reverse side of the handles near the tip. The spoons are stamped on the reverse side with the old Gorham mark, Sterling, and 28 for the product number. They are also stamped on the side of the shaft with copyright '89. These spoons were undoubtedly made within a few years of 1889. The spoons are in good condition. There are some surface abrasions consistent with age and light use. Some of the spoons have some tarnish which could be removed with a good cleaning. Otherwise, there are no breaks, no cracks, no dents, no repairs, and no problems of any kind.
